Our Tale

Long before the banners, before the Discord server, before anyone thought to ask "wait, who's actually in charge here" — there was just a scattered handful of misfits on Golem, all somehow enlisted in the Immortal Flames and all equally confused about the paperwork.

Legend has it the Free Company was founded not in some grand hall in Ul'dah, but in the aftermath of a Flame Command briefing that ran two hours long and covered absolutely nothing useful. Half the room had fallen asleep standing up. The other half had started a side conversation about chocobo racing strategy. When the Flame General finally asked if anyone had questions, one lone Hyur raised a hand and asked, "Can we just leave and go be a Free Company instead?" Nobody stopped them.

And so, The Advent Children were born — a company of Immortal Flames who take the "Immortal" part seriously and the "chain of command" part... less so. Word spread through Dynamis that here was a home for the adventurers who didn't quite fit the mold: the ones who show up to raid content in mismatched glamour, who treat every FATE like a personal grudge match, who somehow always have a story about the time they nearly wiped a dungeon solo.

We're still Flames, technically. We still answer the call when Eorzea needs saving. But mostly, we're just here for each other — friendship, adventure, and more than a few LOL's along the way.
